Wachsal, Yekutiel-Yehuda (Julius)


Son of Rachel (Rechel) and Aaron. Born on the 24th of Cheshvan (1910) in Siegburg, Germany. At the age of 14, he left his parents’ house and moved to the police school in Prussia, and after his rise to power in 1933 he decided to immigrate to Eretz Israel. He was very enthusiastic and very devoted and diligent in every job he encountered, and he was accepted as a laborer in the Israel Electric Corporation and thanks to his talents and dedication he was soon appointed to supervise the high voltage lines. On 28 Av, 16.8.1936, when he went to fix a damaged electric line on the Sarafand road (Ramla). A bullet fired from an Arab orchard hit him. He was brought to rest in the old cemetery in Tel Aviv.
