Vilenchuk, Shmuel (Shmulik)


Shmuel, son of Eliyahu Vilenchuk, was born in 1927 in Poland in the northeastern city of Bialystok. At the beginning of the War of Independence, he enlisted in the Palmach battalion and took part in all the daring missions of the battalion. On April 22-23, our forces attacked Shuafat, Beit Iksa, and Nebi Samuel, and the force moved to Nebi Samuel for a long time. On April 23, 1948, Shmuel fell and he was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
