Vaknin, Yakir

Son of Rauma and Mishel. Born in Herzliya on 13th of Nissan, March 31, 1988. Yakir joined the IDF on July 26, 2006. He served in the Intelligence Corps, completed an officers’ course. After completing his compulsory service, he continued to serve in the IDF. He fell during reserve duty on the 25th of Cheshvan, November 12, 2009. He was twenty one years old. He was laid to rest in the Hertzliya military cemetery, leaving behind his parents and two brothers.
