Tzabari, Shmuel


Born in 1926 in the city of Asmara, Ethiopia and immigrated to Israel with his parents in 1934 from the port city of Eden. The family settled in Tel Aviv and Shmuel turned to the ironwork, where he worked and helped his parents. In the evening he attended high school. He joined the Betar youth movement at an early age and devoted himself to the war for the liberation of the homeland, and joined the British army and served as a soldier and sailor in the British Navy. Joined the Irgun. He took part in many of his activities and every position he was assigned fulfilled faith. With the outbreak of the War of Independence he enlisted in full and filled positions in the defensive positions on the borders of Tel Aviv and Jaffa. On the 26th of Tevet 5708 (January 8, 1948), when he arrived at his position in the Neve Shalom neighborhood, he was hit by an Arab sniper bullet and a space fell. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak
