Tsriker, Naftali


Son of Rachel and Tzadok, he was born on July 7, 1963, in India. In 1969 Naftali immigrated to Israel and the family settled in Ramle, where he attended the Ben-Zvi elementary school. After completing his elementary studies, he moved to the vocational school “Amal” and studied carpentry. Naftali was a boy who loved books and movies. From his youth, he was aware of the security needs of the state, and as a student in the school was active in the Civil Guard. In this activity, Naftali saw his life as a soldier in the Border Guard. In May 1981, Naftali enlisted in the IDF, where he underwent basic training and was sent to the infantry fighters course. As requested, Naftali was sent to serve in the Border Police. When the Peace for Galilee War broke out, he was transferred with his unit to the military government in Tire. On the 25th of Cheshvan 5743 (11.11.1982), an explosion of a gas tank occurred at the Military Government in Tire. The house collapsed and buried its inhabitants. Naftali was among those killed. He was 19 years old. He was laid to rest at the Ramle military cemetery. Naftali left behind his parents, seven sisters and three brothers.
