Trifon, Ran (“Rani”)

Trifon, Ran (“Rani”)

Son of Yosef and Bella. He was born on 25 February 1952 in the settlement of Mitzpe in the Lower Galilee and studied in the elementary school in Tiberias. He was gentle, gentle, polite in all his ways, and with a laugh he lit his face. He was loved by his friends and also by the older ones because he was friendly, kind and always willing to help others without any benefit. He was quiet by nature, serious and honest. He also treated his parents with dedication, love and loyalty. When he finished elementary school in Tiberias he went to study at the Kaduri agricultural school. His qualities, talents and ability to be liked by his friends made him one of the outstanding students in Kaduri. Despite his studies and business, he always found time to help at home, to make it easier for Father to work in the fields, and for Mother in the kitchen. He also liked to cultivate the garden next to the house and made efforts to make peace between his sister and his brother during a quarrel between them. Before he enlisted in the IDF, he persuaded his parents to take advantage of the opportunity as long as he was still at home to take care of the agriculture and the family. This was the case with basic training, and so was the long and difficult course in the navy and the course of combat medics he underwent when he joined the commando unit. On January 10, 1972, Ran fell from enemy activity, riding a mine. He was laid to rest in the Mitzpe cemetery.
