Trachter, Nissan
Ben Sarah and Avigdor, was born on August 27, 1907, in Poland. In April 1934 he emigrated from Germany to Eretz Israel. Immediately after immigrating to Israel he joined the ranks of the Haganah in Herzliya. In 1937, as part of the “Tower and Stockade”, Nissan immigrated to settle with the “Massad” group. At first the group settled temporarily in Maoz Haim and in 1938 settled in its permanent place in the village of Ruppin. In 1941, Nissan left his kibbutz and moved to Haifa, where he earned a living by distributing newspapers, in addition to his activities in the Haganah. On April 15, 1948 Nissan was killed by an Arab whip on the Kings Street in Haifa and brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
