He began his studies at the Aharon Haroeh elementary school in Kiryat Shmuel and spent a short time at the Farhi Aharon yeshiva in Haifa, where he studied at the Tzitrin College of Technology, He was known for his charming and captivating smile, and he loved to help and to find the good in everyone, and like the rest of his age, he joined the Bnei Akiva movement and continued In her activities until the end of 12th grade. Shmulik spent the summer holidays at Moshav Avni Eitan in the Golan Heights, with his sister Miriam, who showed diligence and did not rest for a moment: he worked in the farm, guided children in the activities of He also liked the landscape, the quiet, dreamed dreams, planned plans and traveled extensively in the Golan, the Galilee and the rest of the country, but it was only natural that at the end of his high school studies he wanted to spend time in the pre-army academy In the Golan Heights, and during his studies in the preparatory program he grew up very much D. faith, values ​​of love of country and the desire to contribute to the country. At the end of July 2001 he joined Shmulik IDF Armored Force. Although he could serve close to home, he insisted on choosing combat service, full of motivation and determined to do his best. He was happy and proud of his role as a liaison officer in a tank. A week and a half before his fall, he was stationed with his unit in the Gaza area. In a telephone conversation with his worried family members, he reassured them, “Everything will be all right.” A few days later his life was severed. On April 2, 2002, Shmulik fell in combat activity in Kissufim, and he is twenty years old. On the seventh night of Passover, he left with his team for operational activity in Gaza. When he went down to make light bombs as part of the preparations for the operation, the turret of the tank on which he was sitting was cocked. Shmulik was killed on the spot. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Tzur Shalom cemetery. Survived by parents, six sisters: Miriam, Esther, Mazal, Pani, Iris and Rachel and two brothers: Chaim and Pinchas. After his fall he was promoted to sergeant. In memory of Shmulik is written a Torah scroll that will enter the synagogue in Moshav Avni Eitan. In memory of his relative Pinchas, who was also killed in Gaza, a month before the fall of Shmulik, and also during operational activity.
