The bridge (Brick), Joseph

Son of-Eliezer-Aharon was born in 1919 in Bingen, Germany. The rumor is that he was educated in his parents’ home in an atmosphere of assimilation, but there is no clear information about this. Yosef came to Israel as part of Youth Aliyah and after completing his training at the Son of Shemen Youth Village he felt the need to live in a religious environment and in a religious way of life. In 1938 he joined a religious settlement group, the Aryeh Group, which was then a work company in Hadera. He adapted to religious life and tried to get to know him well and live there. Joseph went to work in citrus groves every day and even went with the group to settle in Sde Eliyahu in the Beit She’an Valley. After a few years he went to a private life and worked in Haifa and the surrounding area in suffering and various jobs. In Haifa he was one of the activists in the “Sabbath Watch”. He recently lived in Kfar Hasidim. During the War of Independence he joined the Jerusalem Brigade and fell in Jerusalem from a sniper bullet on 29.6.1948. He was laid to rest in the Sanhedria cemetery
