Tamim, Moses

Tamim, Moses

Son of Victor and Ruth. Born on 16.8.1956 in Lydda, he studied at the religious elementary school in Lod for two years and continued at the Weizmann State High School. He then studied at the Air Force School for four years, specializing in aircraft mechanics, and graduated as an outstanding student. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Moshe was still a student at the Air Industry School, but he contributed to the engine division in this industry when there were no working hands in the wing. For this he received a letter of appreciation. During the transition from graduation to enlistment in the IDF he worked in the air industry to help support his family: Moshe was drafted into the IDF in October 1974 and assigned to the Israel Air Force. He was a good soldier, disciplined and responsible with a desire for professional advancement. After compulsory service, he continued to serve in the regular army, in the engines department. Moshe fell in his duties on 10 July 1978. He was brought to eternal rest in the Lod cemetery and left behind a mother, two brothers and two sisters.
