Ben Yaffa and Michael. Born on October 25, 1976, in the Ganei Tikva neighborhood of Petach Tikvah, a brother to Lake Kinneret and Lagai, Barak began his studies at the Revivim Elementary School in Ganei Tikvah, continued at the Rishonim junior high school and graduated from high school “Ort” at Tel Hashomer, in optics, where he was one of the first students in his class, and in his spare time Barak was active in sports, was a soccer player in the Hapoel team in Kiryat Ono and wanted to play in the national league. At the beginning of August 1995, Barak enlisted in the IDF and began basic training as a rider. His friends told him that he was a quiet and kind soldier, helped his friends during his travels, excelled in sportsmanship, showed great interest in football and was highly motivated to serve in combat. Barak fell during his service on the 28th of Av 5755 (December 8, 1995). He was nineteen when he fell. He was laid to rest in the Segula military cemetery in Petah Tikva. Survived by his parents, sister and brother.
