Son of-Zvi-Aryeh and Miriam. Born on 18.4.1922 in the city of Mattersburg, Austria, he completed his studies in a Jewish elementary school in his homeland, but when the Nazis invaded Austria in 1938 he moved to London together with a group of young people, where he continued his studies in Yeshiva. During World War II, all citizens of Germany and Austria in England – including the Jews among them – were rounded up and sent to a detention camp in Australia After two and a half years in a concentration camp, in 1943, he arrived on the deck of a supply ship for the Australian Army. He entered the yeshiva of Rabbi Dushinsky and was considered one of the most important students in it, but he continued to study Torah IDF S. May 1955.
