Solomon, David


Son of Sima and Shmuel was born on 5 October 1932 in Uruguay, where David studied in an elementary school in his hometown, continued his studies in high school, but at an early age he went to work as a furniture carpenter. As a carpenter until he joined a group of Zionist youth in South America and went to agricultural training in 1953. David immigrated to Israel and joined Kibbutz Or-Haner in the Negev, where he was discharged from the regular army service. In this framework, he participated in the Six-Day War. David continued to serve in his unit in security positions on military installations in the Negev. In February 1985, when he was in reserve duty near his kibbutz, David used to drive in the evenings from his base to his home. On February 24, 1985, he drove home in a car that his friend drove in. Near the Kiryat Gat junction, the car collided with a vehicle that came in front of her, and David and his friend were killed. He left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter
