Silberman, Aran (Elimelech)
Son of Moshe and Meli, was born on the 10th of Elul 5707 (August 10, 1956) in Tel Aviv. He studied at the Yavneh Elementary School and then completed his studies at the New High School in Tel Aviv. Aran was a diligent and talented student, with unique qualities, in which he rode the love of those around him and the appreciation of his teachers and educators. He had an only son and he took care of them all, and his loyalty and devotion to them knew no bounds. Aran was drafted into the IDF in July 1974 and volunteered for the Nahal Brigade. He did basic training as part of the Nachalim Nahal unit, and after completing it, he was transferred to the Nahal Tzofar settlement with the sons of Gereinu – a “Yablit” nucleus, who was an exemplary soldier who helped all his friends and became a beloved figure in the unit. Aran did not neglect his ties with the parents and maintained close contact with them on April 4, 1975, when he died at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
