Shoshan, Nissim
Son of Rachel and Eliahu, was born in 1930 in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed elementary school and immigrated to Israel in 1943. Upon his arrival he lived in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv and during the struggle against the British he was a member of the Lehi underground for two years. Nissim participated in the “Danny” operation, the conquest of Lod and the liberation of son of Shemen, and in this battle he fell on the 9th of Tammuz 5708 (July 16, 1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
