Shkolnikov, Golda


Daughter of Israel and seven. She was born on 18 November 1946 in Porto Alegro, Brazil. She completed her studies at an elementary school and in the Hebrew Gymnasium named after Lisin Brio di Genaro in Brazil, where her parents were leaders of the community and activists of the Zionist and Hebrew movements. She was coaching viewers there. In 1961 Golda immigrated to Israel; She preceded her family’s immigration by several months. She studied at the Institute for Overseas Instructors in Jerusalem and completed her studies there. She also graduated from Beitar’s school for counselors and was a Betar activist and youth counselor in this movement. In February 1962, she was drafted into the IDF, and on the 15th of Adar 5723 (15.3.1963) she fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. At the initiative of the Jewish community in Brazil and the Revisionist movement, Betar and the Gymnasia in the name of Lissin, a forest was planted in its name in the Beitar Forest near Amatzia, Shkolnikov “- and they did so in memory of their fallen daughter, so that the name of the daughter with the shekel could be identified (Shkolnikov, Golda – a gold shekel).
