Shitrit, Karen

Daughter of Shulamit and Moshe. Born on the 12th of Cheshvan, November 9, 1989 in Haifa. In her youth, Karen volunteered for several years in MDA (Magen David Adom) at the Eilat branch. She joined the IDF on February 18, 2008 and served in the northern brigade. She served as the platoon commander in the Signal Company, during her two years of service. Karen was killed in a car accident on the 2nd of Shevat, January 17, 2010. She was buried in the military cemetery in Eilat, leaving behind her parents and three brothers.
