Shenbach, Yoram


Ben Hedva and Zvi was born on February 2, 1959, in Tel Aviv. When he approached the time of his induction into the IDF, he applied for admission to the Academic Reserve, but withdrew his request and decided to serve in the Nahal Brigade. He joined the Nahal Brigade and in January 1978 he joined the IDF and served in the Paratroop Brigade. On the 9th of Av 5739 (9.8.1979) his unit underwent training in throwing a new type of grenade that was not yet known in the IDF, and the grenade exploded, Yoram was hit by shrapnel and got killed. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents and brother.
