Shankar, Yitzhak

Son of Zelig and Polina. He was born in the city of Lvov, Russia, on January 27, 1947. When the family immigrated to Israel, Yitzhak lived in Kibbutz Ein Shemer, where he completed his studies in an elementary school. In February 1965, he was drafted into the IDF and on January 6, 1966, he was seriously injured in the line of duty and died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
