Sein-Michel, Benno (Benjamin)


Son of Sarah and Morris. He was born on October 28, 1969 in Kiryat Haim. He received his elementary education at Meginim School in his hometown. From the age of fourteen, he was educated at Kibbutz Ma’anit, where he completed 12 grades and studied bookkeeping, was a handsome young man, full of joie de vivre and sometimes a mischievous spirit, and soon became prominent among his contemporaries and was one of the first members of the kibbutz youth group. Four years ago, he was admired as a responsible and diligent young man, dedicated to every branch in which he worked, his main specialty was in the cotton industry, he was well-versed in politics, In January 1989, his son enlisted in the IDF and as a natural continuation of his father’s path, A military target and which has various professional courses. He was also nominated for a parachuting course and even an officer’s course. His son served in a detention facility and invested heavily in the tasks assigned to him. After completing his army service, he prepared to return to his kibbutz. He was buried in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving behind his parents, brother and sister, Yossi and Frieda, and the commander of his unit wrote, Among other things, a letter of condolence to his family: “His son belonged to a qualitative force in the Military Police, in the framework of working with security detainees. He volunteered to be one of the founders of the force and devoted much time to his establishment and to his work. His son was a prominent figure in the unit – a soldier with a lot of motivation, a lot of dynamism and a strong desire to learn and teach … He gave a personal example, respected the people around him and was admired by them … He was adamant in carrying out every mission and loved to help others. He was a smiling character, loved life, a caring and dedicated person who knew how to combine the requirements of military service with his love for sport and other fields. We, his commanders and friends, lost an excellent soldier and a dear friend. “A memorial stone was placed in his memory in the central synagogue in Kiryat Haim.
