Schuaretz, Pinchas


Son of Dvora and Chaim-Yitzhak, was born in 1927 in the city of Bikesad, Romania. During World War II, when the Nazis took control of Romania, Pinchas was taken to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 1944 and is a 17-year-old boy. At the end of the war he returned to his hometown but did not find his family. Pinchas decided to immigrate to Israel and indeed wandered from Romania through the European continent until his arrival in Israel. Upon his arrival in Israel, he joined the Palmach, served in the Negev Brigade and participated in battles in the Negev During the Operation “Yoav”, the battalion attacked enemy forces in the area of ​​Iraq al- On the 16th of Tishrei 5709 (October 16, 1948.) On the 29th of Tishrei 5710 (29.9.1949), he was laid to rest in a grave in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
