Sabach, Abraham

Sabach, Abraham

Son of Shlomo and Adele. He was born on 5.10.1932 in Haifa, studied at the “Kol Israel Haverim” school, later at the St. Luke School and as a result was fluent in English. Was a member of the Gadna. He had friendly relations with some of his classmates, and together with them he made a special request to join the IDF, but a young man from the age of compulsory conscription and his parents objected to his step. He served in the reconnaissance car until the eve of Passover 5731 (31.3.1950), while he was carrying out his duties. He fell near Nirim in the Negev with his car on a mine planted by the enemy. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
