Rubin, Issachar-Dov


Born in Jerusalem on July 3, 1924, son of Malka and Shmuel-Aaron, was born in Jerusalem, and was educated in the field of arts and crafts, and was educated in traditional education and after graduating from high school he began to devote himself to studies In the “Mizrachi” teachers’ seminary in Jerusalem, and in 2000 the family moved to Tel Aviv where Dov was active in the youth groups. He graduated cum laude in the years 5747-1948, at the Teachers College in Givat Hashlosha. During the War of Independence, he volunteered in the Palmach in April 1944. At the end of 1948, he completed a training course for commanders and was transferred to one of the Negev Brigade battalions, and on October 16, 1948 he participated in the “Yoav” battle. The battalion was attacked by enemy forces and were forced to retreat, and he was killed. He was transferred to the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak a year later.
