Rotben, Chaim


Son of Yosef and Ida. He was born on May 1.5, 1958 in Lydda, where he studied at the Chabad elementary school, and in 1972, Haim worked in various jobs, and two years later began studying in a cookery course at Tadmor-Herzliya. Haim was a member of a large family, and from an early age he tried to help his parents and was warm and friendly to his brothers and sisters, and was recruited to the IDF in April 1976 and assigned to the infantry. After basic training he was sent to a training base of the infantry in the south of the country, as a cook. As his depositor attested, he was very successful in his position. He did everything he had to do with obedience and devotion and won everyone’s respect. During his service Haim continued to maintain contact with his family, his friends and friends, and often wrote letters to them. On the 18th of Adar 5737 (March 8, 1977) Haim fell during his service. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Lod. Survived by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
