Rota, Abraham


Son of Sarah and Shmuel. Abraham was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1898. He immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1914. He and his eight brothers and sisters who remained in Warsaw perished in the Holocaust, and was a member of Kibbutz Gan Shmuel and Kibbutz Heftziba. (Avraham’s first regiment), Avraham was one of the first ten policemen of Tel Aviv and received a commendation for the capture of a terrorist who tried to place an explosive charge on the railroad tracks in the area of ​​Beit Hadar in Tel Aviv during the riots. Avraham fell during his service in the hospital on December 22, 1964. He was sixty-five years old when he fell. And he was followed by a wife, two sons and a daughter, and four grandchildren.
