Rosner, Ali

Rosner, Ali

Son of Menachem and Rina. He was born on August 23, 1946, in Haifa. His father is a member of the Executive Committee of Kibbutz Artzi and serves as director of the Kibbutz Research Institute at the Hashomer Hatzair seminar in Givat Haviva. Ali was one of the first sons of Reshefim. When he reached school age, he began studying at the elementary school there, and after completing his studies he continued to study at the Gilboa educational institution in Beit Alpha in the Rimon group. In the course of his training, he made connections with the youth and long before he left for the army, they would pour their hearts in front of him and bring his wishes to him. In the fields of economics and social sciences, and was drafted into the IDF in November 1965 and assigned to artillery. He took an officers’ course and took part in the Six-Day War and took part in the well-known reward operation Karma. He did not see the army as the future of his life and planned the continuation of his studies in the literary field at home with his friends. On one of his vacations he said that he would like to not feel poetry but learn to understand it. In his spare time, he was not idle. He read a lot, and the more he read, the more he went to beauty and singing. As an officer he stood out for me in his good relations with his commanders and subordinates. Tirelessly he would explain everything to his soldiers and pay attention to all their wishes. His way was a way of explaining and helping, understanding them and their questions. He was devoted to his job and would do everything he was willing to do. So his commanders and subordinates loved him and even appreciated his personality. His sense of reason and wisdom went hand in hand with his Lev’s sensitivity, and the ranks did not detract from anything but added. He was proud of his sincerity and integrity, and his principles of life were revealed to all – but he did not show them off, but rather be exemplary to others. This example, out of many, will prove: Once, during the cease-fire declared on the border of the Highland road, he gathered all the people of the embankment, ordered them to bring the trophies, arranged his men in the Order, explained the severity of the act, Burning the wave of transistors and various electrical appliances. After the officers’ course he went down to the Canal and Sinai, between incident and incident, he had free time and many opportunities to be impressed and enjoy the beauty. But so far, the officers have begun a parachuting course and Ali has done nothing to stand out, but has always tried, not to lag behind, especially physical exercises that require agility. A few dozen kilometers from the Canal, he would go out on Saturdays to replace the officers there. In the end he came to serve as a lieutenant, although, as noted, he did not see his future as a soldier. After months of continuous training in Sinai, he went up to the level and then I was near his home. Then his main concern was for his kibbutz, the kibbutzniks who were about to be released, and the young guard building. Eli went out with the recreation unit in Nahariya and went to the scouts to celebrate his 22nd birthday, but that Saturday he was called on alert, when the battles broke out in the Golan Heights in the Jordan Valley area during the Jordanian bombardment of the Tawfiq area east of Tel Katzir. He and his unit were promoted as reinforcements, but in the midst of the battle, a shell hit the battery and thus he died, and he had not yet reached the end of his obligatory service, on the first day of Elul 5728 (August 25, 1968). He was brought to eternal rest in Reshef. In the 1930s, the kibbutz issued a leaflet in his memory and then published a pamphlet bearing his name. In his letter of condolences to his parents, the commander of his unit wrote: “Ali served under my command for about thirteen months, and all the time he stood out for only one thing -And a good friend to everyone, to his commanders as his soldiers. We all loved him and noted his good qualities. He advanced from position to position. “The commander wrote that he had one request and one goal -” to harness him to the subject of security and to sign him as a permanent officer in order to advance the unit. But on the first day, Ali fell into his role by firing the enemy’s guns while firing his weapon. There is no doubt that in this last action he contributed to the ongoing security of the region, and you, who live in this area, echo the thunder of the cannons in your ears every day, you will understand this better than I do. “A pamphlet in his memory, In the fourth volume of “Goily Ash”, the Yalkut – the estate of the sons who fell in Israel’s wars, was brought from his estate.
