Rosen, Ronen
Ben Dina and Amnon. He was born on 26.6.1968 in Kibbutz Brur Hayil, the eldest son of his parents, and his sister, Anat, was born after him, and his family used to call him ‘Nanny’, and attended the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Elementary School He completed his studies at the Tchernichovsky High School in Netanya, and in July 1987 Ronen joined the IDF and was assigned to the Artillery Corps. Ronen was described by his commanders as a serious soldier with a high work ethic, who performed his duties thoroughly and consistently to their full satisfaction. During his service Ronen took part in an operation in southern Lebanon on 4.5.1988, in a battle for the village of Maidon, near the Syrian border. In a relentless fighting from house to house, the village, which had become a stronghold of Hezbollah, was conquered by the Paratroopers, Armored Corps, Air Force and Artillery. Ronen completed his compulsory service with the rank of sergeant. From an early age Ronen was interested in computers, and after his discharge from the army he decided to study computers professionally and print montage. After graduation, Ronen began working in the Montage field. On the 11th of Kislev 5762 (26.11.2001), during his reserve service, Ronen fell while serving. He was thirty-three years old when he fell. Ronen was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya. Survived by his parents and sister.
