Son of Betty and Asher, was born on August 8, 2525 in Breslau, Germany to wealthy parents who sent him as a young man to a village in England. When he grew older he moved to London and began working as an electrician. He was perceived as a Zionist and was a member of the Haganah in England. During World War II, his parents and two sisters were murdered in Germany. At the end of the war Moshe went to France, where he spent three months in the camp and immigrated to Israel as a volunteer to fight in the Independence War of his people. Moshe arrived in Palestine on May 17, 1948. He was attached as a machine gunner to one of the battalions in the Oded Brigade. From there he moved to a battalion in the Alexandroni Brigade as a foot soldier and volunteered for a raid unit, believing that he would do his job in the best possible way. Moshe served as a machine gunner in a armored vehicle, then in a jeep, until he was wounded. Participated in battles in Mahanayim in the Galilee, in Tzedek Tower, Kula Village and Rosh Ha’ayin; Served in Tel Nof, fought in Faluja and in Iraq Al-Manshiyya. He was a dark, broad-shouldered man, kind and diligent, loved by his friends and commanders. He loves his relatives and is loyal to the people and the land. He was always one of the first volunteers for combat operations and for simple jobs. He intended to remain in Israel even after the war, “even if I have to work the hardest jobs.” Soon he acquired the Hebrew language. Before his departure, he wrote to his brother, who had served in the Palmach, that he had no feeling that he would not return from the operation.In Operation Horev, a “liquidation” operation was carried out against the “Faluja pocket,” which was the headquarters of an Egyptian brigade.
