Reznik, Abraham


Son of Rachel and Baruch, grandson of Avraham Resnick, a pioneer of the workers in Judea and one of the first settlers in Yavne’el, was born on September 25, 1922 in Tzfat and grew up in Yavne’el, where he completed elementary school and later worked in his parents’ He served as a field guard in Yavne’el and the surrounding area, joined the Nutras, served in Nahariya, and took part in Haganah underground activities, and for a time he was responsible for the security of Yechiam. – Aviv and was responsible for training in Tel Aviv and deputy commander of the region in Yavne’el, was known as a devoted to his position intact, without any serious, few words, courageous and diligent in deeds. In the winter of 1948, when the War of Independence broke out, he devoted himself entirely to the defense of the homeland. He served in the Golani Brigade, trained in sabotage courses in Migdal and in Menahemia, participated in the battles in Beit Keshet and suffered slight wounds in his hand and abdomen. And in the evening of Al-Zabih and the leaving of mines in the entire Jordan Valley, and successfully commanded reprisals against the Arabs near Migdal and Abadiya, on the verge of the Syrian invasion, working day and night, without respite, in leaving mines in the Jordan Valley, The forces boarded a mine between a bridge and Menahemiah and crashed in the early hours of the morning of Friday, May 15, 1948. He was laid to rest at the cemetery in Yavne’el. After he fell, he was awarded the rank of lieutenant.
