Rein, Asher


Was born on September 23, 1930 in Petach Tikvah, his parents – a pioneer of Hapoel Hamizrachi and a resident of Kfar Avraham – at the age of four he asked the moshav rabbi to teach Torah and thus learned to read and write even before he entered school “Netzach Yisrael” in Petah Tikvah, he stopped school and went to a small Yeshiva, then returned to the yeshiva in Petah Tikva where he excelled in his studies and behavior. In order to study Torah for its own sake and to become a farmer, a talmid hakham, so as not to lose time in his studies, he did not go to Gadna, but in 1947 He joined the Haganah in the Haganah and served as a guide for yeshiva students in Seder and Weapons exercises, and joined the defenders of Kfar Etzion and the breakers of the Jerusalem wall, but due to his young age and vital work in the kibbutz. During his training, a group of yeshiva students was injured in Petah Tikva in an accident and died on May 4, 1948. He was brought to eternal rest in the Petach Tikvah cemetery, and his parents brought a Torah scroll to the synagogue in their place of residence Kfar Avraham.
