Regulant, Jeremiah (Jeremiah)


Son of Leah and Yosef, was born on September 17, 1929 in Tel Aviv. Until the age of 11 he grew up in the city and studied in an elementary school. After completing six high school grades, he studied mechanics and joined the Palmach, where he worked as a courier, volunteered for SHAI and worked in this service until the recruitment was announced. With the outbreak of the War of Independence following the United Nations General Assembly resolution on the partition of the land, he was sent to the Galilee immediately, accompanied by caravans to Ramot Naftali, and for nine months worked as a tracker. In the end he took part in an attack on the Legion formation in Latrun and fell in battle on the “Range of Cannons” on the 17th of Tammuz 5708 (17.7.1948) On the 11th of Adar 5702 (28.2.1950) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
