Reem, Meir


Son of Sheindel and Zvi Aryeh was born in October 1900 in the city of Barshad, Ukraine, Russia and completed elementary school there. Meir immigrated to Israel with the great pioneering aliya in 1922, joined the labor movement and gave all his energies and energies to the building of the country, with the hard and arduous work of paving roads and maintaining the occupation of Hebrew labor. Was a member of the Haganah. He married a wife and set up his residence in Haifa, where he learned leadership and in this profession he worked and maintained his family. With the outbreak of the War of Independence following the United Nations General Assembly resolution of 29 November 1947 on the partition of the country into two states, he came to the defense of the city of Haifa and the surrounding area On the 29th of Adar I 5708 (29.2.1948) He was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa and left behind a wife – Chaya, son Aryeh and Daughter – Zippora.
