Yigal, son of Rachel and Dan, was born on July 10, 1947, in the Neve Yam group and studied at the elementary school in his group and at the agricultural school in Kfar Galim. Yigal was drafted into the IDF in early January 1967 and volunteered for the Nahal Brigade. After completing basic training, he was sent to an officers’ course and a paratroopers course, and at the end of the course he was awarded the wings of a parachutist. After a period of service in the Nahal Brigade, he was transferred to the Engineering Corps, and after his training, he was appointed commander of the barge, and he was an officer who was responsible, dedicated and capable and initiated. I think he had a future with us; During the Yom Kippur War, Yigal participated in battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front, and during the battles, on the 18th of Tishrei 5740 (18.10.1973), Yigal participated in the crossing of the Suez Canal and the evacuation of the wounded Who was killed in the Egyptian shelling and was brought to rest at the cemetery in Neve Yam and left behind a wife and son, parents and brothers.
