Preisler, Ephraim
He was born in 1913 in the town of Trebuchen in Carpathorussia, where he joined the great movement that arose among the Jewish youth to immigrate to Eretz Israel and to integrate in its construction. After completing his military service, he left for Eretz Israel in 1935. During the winter months, he worked in carpentry and packing in Petach Tikva and in the summer in Pardes, and went to help his parents abroad. After a difficult period of work, he managed to build a house in the Eliezer neighborhood, near Kfar Saba. On 7 Av, August 4, 1938, the truck of Kibbutz Ramat Hakovesh, which took the workers from Gush Katif to their homes, boarded a mine. Efraim, along with seven members of Ramat Hakovesh, was killed. He was twenty-five when he fell. He left parents in Czechoslovakia. A memorial booklet commemorating the fallen of Kibbutz Ramat Hakovesh was published.
