Pincus, Jeremiah


Son of Hamuda and Eliezer was born in Tel Aviv on October 6, 1962. Yirmiyahu, or Yirmi, as his many friends affectionately called him, began his studies at the Yavneh elementary school and continued in the junior high school “New High School.” He completed his studies in the biological track of the 14 th Municipal High School in Tel Aviv. During his studies, Yirmiyahu was a member of the Scout movement and joined the Nahal Kutv group, and was drafted into the IDF in July 1980. After completing basic training he successfully completed a course for infantry commanders, And then decided to go to an officer’s course, and when he was a cadet, the Peace for Galilee War broke out, and Yirmiyahu went to Lebanon and served as a platoon commander on the line. Deputy Yirmiyahu in the performance of his duties and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. After they fell, he was promoted to lieutenant. Yirmiyahu left behind his parents and sister. In his letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Yirmi was the kind of officer who was very easy to distinguish and identify the person behind the uniform, ranks, and role. To do things, not out of the necessity of orders and dry orders, but out of a desire to do things for Yirmi – in order to receive a smile, encouragement and a pat on the back “
