Pashkovsky, Isaiah (“Yishai”)


Son of Menachem-Mendel and Ida. He was born on July 17, 1936 in Tel Aviv. After completing his studies at the Zamenhof Elementary School in Tel Aviv, he studied and graduated from Geula High School. Was a collection of stamps, liked sports, but above all his age had a special inclination to music. He aspired to study at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa in the chemical sciences. Quiet and humble by nature, loved his parents and respected them and was very responsible. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1953. He took part in the retaliatory action in Grandall and on Friday, March 11, 1956, fell in combat near Qalqiliya and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. One of the officers who went out with him for his last operation said: “First he was always and when he was injured he asked to be bandaged and left to the end. His brother Simcha died in the IDF in 1949.
