Paperno, Anatol (Naftali)


Son of Zalman and Elka. He was born on October 29, 1940, in Leningrad, in the Soviet Union. An only son to his parents. Anatol attended elementary school and high school, studied in the framework profession and worked in various places. He served three years in the Red Army, in the Artillery Corps. Anatol aspired to immigrate to Israel and fulfilled his dream in 1976. His parents remained in the Soviet Union after immigrating to Israel, where he studied at Kibbutz Yagur, where he lived and worked in Kibbutz Be’erot Yitzhak and later on Kibbutz Nir David. He was very fond of the country and did everything he could to adapt to his new environment, which he wanted to live in. Anatol had few relatives in Israel, and during his visits he made sure to speak Hebrew in order to advance his language and assimilate in Israel. In early July 1977 and assigned to the Artillery Corps. Where he served as a field artillery. After compulsory service, he worked at the Orlan factory near Haifa. Anatol fell during his service on the 19th of Adar 5738 (March 25, 1978) was 38 years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He was survived by a father (in the Soviet Union).
