Overlander, Dan (Danny)

Dan (Danny) son of Ferenczi and David was born on 14.5.1953 in Paris, France. Dan was drafted into the IDF in mid-August 1971 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a course in tank training for “Centurion”, a course for the commanders of the Centurion tanks. He was responsible and dedicated to his job. When the Yom Kippur War broke out he was sent with his unit to the front in the Golan Heights. On October 6, 1973, Dan fell near Hoshenia. He was brought to rest in the cemetery in Kiryat-Shaul. Dan left behind a father, a mother and a sister, and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
