Oren, Ronen
Ben Rachel and Samir. Was born in Petah Tikva on July 25, 1971. He began his studies at the Shazar elementary school in the middle school of the Barzilai School and continued with a humanistic track at the “Ron” In the streets. Ronen was a beautiful and friendly boy, honest and modest, with a sense of humor and a favorite of everyone. In his youth he was an ardent admirer of Elvis Presley and adopted the characteristic hairstyle for Elvis. He later replaced the music of the sixties with Mizrahi music and admired Zohar Argov. At the beginning of August 1990, Ronen was drafted into compulsory military service in the Israel Defense Forces, did basic training in the IDF and took a cookery course. He was assigned to a base in the south of the country. His commanders expressed satisfaction with his performance and testified that he was a quiet soldier, disciplined and introverted, yet friendly. On February 7, 1991, Ronen fell during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Rehovot. Survived by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. In a letter of condolence to the family, the unit commander wrote: “… I remember very well the day Ronen came to us, engraved in my memory of the occasion, all ready for the future. Ronen fit in well with his colleagues. “
