Oppenheim, Shraga
Son of Yosef and Vita. He was born on April 28, 1910, in Wilkavisky, which was a bulge. He completed his studies at a Hebrew primary school in the city where he was born and completed his studies in both the Hebrew Gymnasium. He belonged to Maccabi in Wielkowski and in 1933 immigrated to Israel and joined the same sports movement in Nes Ziona. He belonged to the soccer team there. He was active in the “Committee for the Soldier” in Ramat Gan. In Nes Tziona he was a guard and at the beginning of the War of Independence he worked in the engineering corps and built fortifications around Latrun. In September 1948, he was drafted into the IDF and since then, after undergoing a course in hygiene, served as a caretaker at Tel Hashomer Hospital. He died on his illness on the 17th of Marcheshvan 5727 (October 31, 1966) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. He left a wife and a son.
