When he was a member of a large family (seven brothers and sisters), he helped his mother with household chores and was a loyal and dedicated son, and from the day of his first enlistment he asked the IDF for support for his mother. He was a sports fan, joined the Hapoel team in Shlomi and played many soccer games. Avraham was drafted into the IDF in August 1974. He volunteered to serve in the Nahal Brigade and was sent to basic training. On 27.10.1974 Avraham fell while serving. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Moshav Shlomi. Survived by a mother and seven brothers and sisters. In a letter of condolence to his mother, his commander wrote: “Avraham served in my unit for one month, and he was known to me as a good and disciplined soldier, a soldier who managed to integrate well into his company and be admired by his comrades for basic training.” Avraham’s mother donated a Torah scroll to the synagogue at the son of-Zvi State Religious School in Shlomi, the school where Abraham had studied in his youth.
