Novik, Reuven-Hector


Son of Rivka and Enrico, was born on May 14, 1960 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his studies in his hometown in bookkeeping. Reuven Hector loved nature and expanses and wanted to turn his hobby into his work and be a forest keeper in Patagonia. This is a very special job that requires special features because the guard is isolated for many days. In June 1980, Reuven Hector came to Israel through the “Tapuz” immigration program and immediately fell in love with Israel. He moved to Kibbutz Revadim where he began to study Hebrew at the ulpan. In mid-August 1981, he enlisted in the IDF as part of the Nahal Brigade, and after a basic training course he underwent a rifle course. On the 14th of Shvat 5742 (February 14, 1982) he fell during his service. At the request of his family, he was brought to the cemetery in Tabelda, Argentina. Survived by his parents and brother.
