When he was accepted into an aviation course he began, as a pilot, with the slow and laborious climb of the first stages of the progress ladder. Eyal loved the pilot, enjoyed his studies in the course and introduced himself to the new dimension. But it was only after the solo flight on the Fuga that he was not fit to be a pilot. His commander then wrote to his parents: “Eyal did not succeed as a pilot, but it is important that you know that there is no connection between assessing the flight’s ability and assessing a person as a person.” Eyal was involved in every company, very attached to his friends and family and loved them, admired and admired by children. He excelled in his judgment, in his deep understanding, in his cheerfulness and in his good temper. He marveled at his devotion and willingness to help anyone. On the 27th of Sivan 5736 (9.6.1972), a week when he had to decide on his future career in the IDF, he was killed in a car accident and brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. A good friend, a guy whom society values, a man whom other guys wanted to be with. “His direct commander wrote in a letter of condolence to his parents:” Eyal was a quiet, considerate and kind guy who was loved by both students and commanders. “
