Nimrod, Abraham (“Avrami”)


Son of Haim and Chava. He was born on March 21, 1948 in Kibbutz Ma’agan. When he was four, he moved with his family to Tire. He studied at Bialik Elementary School and spent the last year at the Habonim School. After completing his studies, he studied for one year at the Kiryat Haim high school and continued his studies at the Biram Military Academy near the Reali School. Even when he was young, he stood out in his leadership and was willing to help anyone. Avraham was an athlete and dealt in basketball and soccer. He liked the chess game and loved mathematics. He also loved classical music. His Lev was warm and the children were wrapped around him. When he came for a vacation from the boarding school, and then from the army, they would accompany him to the entrance to his home. The IDF was recruited in August 1966 and was still in an officers’ course, and the Six Day War broke out as a cadet who fought in the Paratroopers Brigade and fell in a battle that took place in Rafah on the second day of the battles, on 26 June 1967.
