He also watched football and basketball games, stadiums or television. Yigal regularly practiced at the gym and participated in judo and tennis. As a loyal son of his parents, Yigal always took their advice, careful not to ask for money or to cause unnecessary worries. He used to help with housework, such as painting walls, shopping and laundry. A warm and loving relationship was also between Yigal and his younger sister. He always helped her, kept and defended her and knew how to spoil her. Yigal was always happy, a charming smile on his face and light in his eyes. Modest in his manner, his kindness was on his laughing face, which illuminated everyone. Yigal’s human attitude to his revolutions stood out and served as an example to all his friends. Already during his high school studies, and later during his military service, Yigal worked at night as a waiter to help support the family, and to have money of his own for his needs and not have to ask his parents. In 1999, Yigal went to the United States to visit his grandmother and maternal uncles, who had not seen them since he was a boy, . At first he served in the Beer Sheva area, and after a short while was transferred, at his request, to serve near Afula. He soon became part of the unit, was a good and loyal soldier, loved by everyone and carrying out his duties with dedication. Yigal loved the base and the soldiers, and enjoyed his service. On the 5th of Sivan 5762 (June 5, 2002), Yigal fell in a terrorist attack at the Megiddo junction, and the night before he arrived home And in the morning he boarded an 830 bus on his way to the base, where a bus carrying a suicide bomber hit a bus in the Megiddo intersection, injuring almost everyone on the bus, Yigal was wounded in the head and evacuated to the Emek Hospital in Afula And he was transferred by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, where he died at the age of twenty-two. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, he was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya and left behind his parents and sister, and Yigal loved Mizrahi music and one of his favorite songs was “A Man’s Tear”: “My brother, how can I explain the pain? He asks why you are silent / brother, I saw you quietlyI’m crying for you brother, can not get over / Is there another chance that everything will work out here? My brother, a tear of a man is a heavier tear than a woman with a heart of stone, My brother, how can I lock my heart / what is the remedy for pain and sorrow / my brother, how can I relieve your pain / even the strongest man would shed tears with you? “Sigal, Yigal’s sister, writes to him:” With a painful heart and bitter weeping / Do not understand why it ‘s all over. I sometimes look at the window / and think that everything is imagination / And when I’m dreaming of you / I want to tell you how much I love you / I want to tell you how much I love you / Is there any chance we’ll see each other? There ‘s another chance we’ d be killed. In my heart there is a strong trust / because you want more than anything else. “Yigal’s family members write:” Smile, our child smiled / turned, they are your face / our lives, they are your smile / do not cry / stay with me / We will dance / enjoy our children, enjoy / the happiness in you and the joy / laugh our son, laugh / who will always find strength in us / spend our children “Do not be sad, because you are always in our hearts Gold / Do not be sad and regret” Because you will always be with us forever We will live forever among us And my brother, in pictures We will remember you forever, but above all you will be among us, where you can not see, only feel, miss and love … “And more, according to the letters of Yigal’s name:” Y – Yigal, “You are always in us.” – “We have left pain, which you will always find in our hearts.”
