Move, Nahum (Zuzik)


The only son of the poet Yocheved Daughter of-Miriam and author Haim Hazaz was born on November 16, 1928 in Paris and was a ten-month-old baby with parents to Israel. Nachum grew up in Tel Aviv and attended the first school on Bezalel Street, From then on, he was a very intelligent young man, with a quick perception of consciousness and a great deal of emotional absorption. But he also knew that he was lawless and a joke and was a loyal friend and devoted to his friends and students in the movement. Palmach and John went up the level of five. At the beginning of the War of Independence, he was one of the defenders of Jerusalem, joined the Palmach’s Harel Brigade and served as a squad commander.Nahum risked himself more than once, and since he was an only child, the family’s friends tried to influence him to a safer place. He took part in activities to secure Kalia and the Arava, accompanied by convoys from the Dead Sea to Jerusalem, at the gates of Sha’ar Hagai, in retaliation operations in Yalu, Accompanied by caravans on the way from the coastal plain to Jerusalem, in the battle for the Castel and in the defense of Kibbutz Neve Ilan . When he finished the course, he received a squad of recruits he trained in Hulda and put them in a military framework. Eitam returned to “Nachshon”, the protection of the Castel after its capture from the Arabs, escorting convoys to Mount Scopus and sabotage operations on the Jericho road. On April 4, 1948, he fell in an attempt to conquer Augusta Victoria on Mount Scopus. He was buried in the cemetery in Sanhedria in Jerusalem. On the 13th of Elul 5711 (13.9.1951) he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
