Moshkovitz, Leah


Daughter of Solomon and Malka. She was born on April 24, 1924 in the city of Manketz, Czechoslovakia, immigrated to Israel in 1940 and studied for two years in the son of Shemen Youth Village, where she completed her studies at the nursing school near Beilinson Hospital. To the IDF in July 1948 and after the War of Independence joined the permanent army. She worked as a nurse, especially in the operating room. She saw the whole purpose of her life in the help provided to the patient and the wounded, and in this work showed great devotion. On the 19th of Shevat 5711 (19.1.1951), she died of the disease and was put to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
