Morubati, David (“Price”)


Son of Eliyahu and Irene. He was born on the 15th of Adar 5704 (March 10, 1944) in the city of Teheran in Persia. He studied at the Kol Israel Haverim school there, but in 1952 the family immigrated to Israel. He continued his studies in Tel Mond and then completed high school. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement and was active in sports. He had artistic leanings. He was attracted to pioneering life and being a teacher in the kibbutz, Yifat, for example, was his friend. Due to the family’s difficult financial situation, he was forced to leave the farm and supported his parents when he worked as a carpenter. He was drafted into the IDF in June 1961 as part of the Nahal Brigade. He died on his illness on the 16th of Kislev 5712 (14.11.1961) and was brought to rest at the cemetery in Tel Mond.
