Mori, Haggai


Son of Ariela and Elyakim. Born on Lag B’Omer on May 18, 1957 in Tel Aviv, he studied at the Alharizi Elementary School in the Tel Baruch neighborhood and continued his studies at the Alliance High School in Ramat Aviv, in the biological track. With a unique inner world, which he sought to deepen and expand steadily, deepened his research and was always in search of new dimensions of information and experience, with his sensitivity to nature and especially to the animal world, he chose a vegetarian lifestyle when he was thirteen years old. He devoted much of his time and skills to social activity in the Scout movement. He was a member of the Hanassi tribe in Maoz Aviv, and later served as a guide, and was sent to the United States, where he continued to work in the United States, In January 1976, Hagai was recruited for regular service in the Nahal Brigade, where he and his group immigrated to Kibbutz Elrom in the Golan Heights. Was sent by the nucleus to command positions, and in this framework he volunteered for a pilots’ course, which ended in March 1978 as an outstanding trainee. At the end of the course, he was assigned to a reconnaissance and reconnaissance squadron, and then he taught at the flight school. After his release in 1982 he embarked on a long trip in the Far East. Upon his return, he went to study at the Department of Physics at Tel Aviv University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he began studying for a master’s degree in the same field at the Technion in Haifa. In September 1989 he married in Haifa, where he lived with his wife – Inbal. Hagai was killed during reserve duty on the 13 th of Tammuz 5770 (13.7.1990) at Givat HaNesharim in the Golan Heights and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind his wife, parents and brother Shai.
