Moreno, Yuval

Moreno, Yuval

Son of Nava and Joseph. He was born in Kiryat Tivon on November 4, 1965, where he grew up and studied at the Narkissim Elementary School, where he continued his studies at the Ort Grinberg High School in Kiryat Tivon. In the course of his high school years, he decided to postpone his induction and volunteered for a year of service. After deliberating between walking to the ‘Oded’ core and walking to a field school, Yuval chose to go to a field school on Mount Meron and guided him for a year and a half. He was able to take advantage of both his guidance and his personal development and increased his interest, sensitivity and self-confidence in many fields, and this was his time, and perhaps in many ways, the best of his few years. 1985 Joined the IDF and was assigned to the Armored Corps. At the end of basic training, he asked to undergo a paramedics course, a field close to him from high school, during which he underwent a first aid course and volunteered for a tour in Magen David Adom. At the end of the paramedics course, he was placed as a combat medic in an armored battalion in the Golan Heights. He soon became fond of everyone around him. In addition to his position, he was the right hand of the education noncom in the battalion, and he continued to travel the country and told many stories about the subject, and he was very close to the soldiers, and the relationship between Yuval and his friends was very close, pleasant and friendly. This was too rigid a framework for Yuval, and it was never easy to get instructions and “sighs,” and all of this added to the feeling of terrible waste, and his close friends said that he could have been much more productive. In his letters home he wrote: “At last there is someone to talk about topics that are not army, weapons, etc., but also the subject Related in recent past. A course, flowers, birds, guidance and a field school. “” I miss the spring, the spit and the flowers. On Mount Meron, I was in a kind of green star, who still holds me in the most difficult moments. “Yuval died in a car accident on January 9, 1986, when he was killed in a road accident. He was buried in the military section of the Kiryat Tivon cemetery and left behind his parents, Ach Ran and Yael, and his parents published a pamphlet in memory of members of his family. On a huge rock, Yaffa and majestic, the letters are engraved and speak for themselves: Yuval Moreno, was picked, and the cyclamen blossomed … His friends on Mount Meron planted a orchard in his memory and the family A letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “During his last service, he served in an operational company in Har Odem and served as a soldier, As a company medic. In addition to his job, he undertook to organize and organize the battalion library, and the soldiers began to visit it regularly. He was always willing to contribute to the issues he thought were important. We will remember Yuval and continue to teach about the same subjects he believed in and loved. “Friends’ words:” He was born to laugh – not tears. He lives for happiness, joy and many loves / joy of life immersed in color / Let us remember Yuval as follows:Accompanied by summer camps, organized exciting parties, / always equipped with fine cheeses / that gave a lot of taste to life … “(This page is part of the Yizkor memorial project held by the Ministry of Defense)
